Ozone applications in landfill leachate treatment: A perspective

A systematic waste management practices requires a good fundamental knowledge in civil engineering as it involves planning, design, construction, operation, monitoring, closure and decommissioning of a waste management systems. The waste disposal by landfilling as being widely practiced in developing countries, requires proper management and treatment of leachate. Landfill leachate is a liquid that seeps through solid waste in a landfill and extracts dissolved or suspended materials in the process.
